It's a boy!

A few months ago my wife's brother and his family came up from Arizona to our place for dinner. Yes,it's a long trip for dinner but what made it a unique experience was that it was the first time that my wife and her brother had seen each other since...well the first time ever.
Well the entire meeting turned out simply fantastic and it's great to suddenly have a brand new extended family.
A couple of days later we all went out to the Niagara Bench to visit a couple wineries. It was a wonderful, warm fall day and this was the view from from one of the wineries looking out over the lake.

Niagara River Mouth

I've been really busy with work so I haven't had a chance to get out and do some drawing/photography for a winter scene, so here is one I've been fiddling with from a photo I found.
Out in the snow this weekend for sure!

Beak Bites

A while back now I had the opportunity to create a new brand for a local company's product line. The pitch went over well and it was decided that we would also do a couple of animated commercials. This gave me an chance to write the scripts (which I've always wanted to do) and direct (which I hadn't done in a long time). I was lucky enough to be able to enlist the talents of Sasa Radosavcevic (design), Don Gauthier (backgrounds) and Steve Whitehouse (board) to work on the project, which was produced at Story City.

The first one (my favourite of the two) has not yet gone into production ,but here is the second one...

Niagara in the fall...

Another fall time pastel.
My wife and I love to go down to Niagara on the Lake to hike and explore. It's a beautiful place and being so close to home we are hoping to make a habit of visiting more often this year. I'd love to spend a lot more time painting the Gorge and the surrounding vineyards...if I wasn't fishin:)
